CBS 8’s Chief Meteorologist Karlene Chavis is thought for her appreciate of climate, science, pleasurable and San Diego. But for this Scottsdale, Arizona indigenous – the rise to the leading location during the climate office did not occur effortlessly.
Karlene features a bachelor’s diploma within the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications at Arizona Point out College. Chavis has attained a master’s degree in Geological Sciences from Mississippi Point out University. She’s worked in newsrooms across the nation from Palm Springs, Miami and now San Diego, California. Regardless of Chavis’ spectacular resume and meteorological capabilities, she had to combat to climb the ladder and “claim the top meteorology purpose.”
